Director of Business Development & Channel Management

The Director of Business Development & Channel Management is responsible for all aspects of executing a strategic, consultative sales process for prospective business partners at a national level.  This position is an incredible opportunity to work with a high growth company in a fast-growing market.

This individual will be a highly motivated self-starter, able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to close business through a consultative process is essential!   Experience in healthcare is required.

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

Develop new business via direct sales of the MarketView solution; create a sales process and close deals in target markets:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for acquisition of new channel partners and drive revenue from those partners
  • Develop relationships and structure partnerships with channel partners
  • Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
  • Coordinate development of sales and marketing materials required for channel partners to be successful
  • Promote Carrot Health within channel organizations
  • Direct leads that are developed within the channel to the appropriate sales person within Carrot Health
  • Participate in Carrot Health sales discussions as needed
  • Manage potential channel conflict with other sales channels
  • Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales
  • Evaluate effectiveness of partner programs and improve upon them, and otherwise ensure effective engagement.
  • Work with the COO and CEO to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet revenue goals.
  • Manage data in the CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate, and documents are attached.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Communications or related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding annual sales goals.
  • 2-5+ years sales experience in healthcare (payer market preferred).
  • Experience selling data analytics, business intelligence, marketing segmentation, consumer modeling, or other related technical software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined activity goals.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product Manager

The Product Manager will assist in managing the development and delivery of Carrot Health’s solutions in multiple areas of the healthcare payer and provider markets. This role manages complex projects, creates meaningful insights, and helps our customers solve challenging problems.

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Create and maintain product feature definitions and wireframes for the development team.
  • Document customer requirements and new product feature requirements in project management tool; help prioritize product backlog items for customers.
  • Build customer-facing product content and processes to support the account team.
  • Build product demonstration and story flow content to support the sales/marketing team.
  • Build customer case studies and create data points to promote the Carrot Health value story.
  • Determine customer needs and desires by conducting market research.
  • Research and recommend new data sources for acquisition into the MarketView platform.
  • Assess new product concepts and help determine priority of new product development.
  • Assess market competitors and identify ways to create a unique value proposition and competitive advantages within the MarketView platform.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors that can improve the value of the MarketView platform.
  • Analyze trends in product utilization and identify product strengths and weaknesses; use this information to inform product owner and development team of areas to focus.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience with payers and/or providers, bringing domain expertise and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development, product development, or consulting.
  • Familiar with Tableau or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Familiar with SQL, R, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Familiar with Jira, Trello, or similar project management tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; experience presenting to customers and leadership preferred.
  • Excellent data storytelling and technical design skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently.

Customer Solutions Manager

The Customer Solutions Manager will lead the delivery of consulting services and success milestones with existing customers, functioning as the primary client relationship and business leader for key accounts; work with multidisciplinary teams to manage projects and drive successful engagement by senior organization leaders; act as a customer liaison for the product development team, gathering requirements that inform new product design; and manage accounts, identify new and expanded opportunities for revenue growth, ensure renewal of existing business, and function as a trusted advisor developing long-term customer relationships.

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Carrot MarketView platform, including project management, training and ongoing use.
  • Develop new consulting services opportunities that enhance the ongoing strategic business relationship between Carrot Health and payer and provider customers.
  • Translate customer business objectives into well-designed solutions that best leverage MarketView platform capabilities.
  • Lead business and technical design sessions; work with solution architects to design and document solutions that are aligned with customer business objectives.
  • Develop customer strategies based on a synthesis of cross-functional perspectives (both customer and internal).
  • Conduct current state assessments, evaluate results and present solutions in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Execute and deliver high-quality engagement tasks, both independently and in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Develop deep customer relationships at all levels of organizations and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Contribute to the pursuit of renewals and new business through drafting/writing proposals and presenting to customer executives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience with payers and/or providers, bringing domain expertise and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
  • 3+ years business consulting or similar experience.
  • Strong executive-level presence and business communication skills (including presentation development and public speaking).
  • Ability to work independently and manage relationships with customers.
  • A mix of healthcare operating knowledge with consulting experience and business process orientation is desirable.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% or possibly more.
