Data Architect

The Data Architect is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of Carrot Health’s healthcare business intelligence solutions by creating a best-in-class data architecture to support application functionality and data science.

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

The Data Architect will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and code complex automated data pipelines for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources across AWS and Snowflake.
  • Architect, build and maintain database schemas and supporting documentation.
  • Lead data governance efforts to ensure high quality data.
  • Ensure data pipeline solutions can support integrations into Tableau, R and Python for consumption by the data science team.
  • Drive meetings to understand the business uses for different types of data.
  • Research, analyze and provide an opinion on database and data pipeline solutions after analyzing the costs and benefits and end use.
  • Help maintain the integrity and security of Carrot Health’s database solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Proven experience in a Data Architect, Software Developer or Database Administrator role.
  • Advanced knowledge of data storage theory for both structured and unstructured formats and application to architect data solutions.
  • Experience in SQL, PostreSQL, R, Python.
  • Experience with integrating databases with Tableau.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Health Care claims and EMR records.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
  • Must be able to develop creative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent data storytelling and technical design skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently.
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and manage ambiguous projects and tasks.

Product Manager

The Product Manager will assist in managing the development and delivery of Carrot Health’s solutions in multiple areas of the healthcare payer and provider markets. This role manages complex projects, creates meaningful insights, and helps our customers solve challenging problems.

This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Create and maintain product feature definitions and wireframes for the development team.
  • Document customer requirements and new product feature requirements in project management tool; help prioritize product backlog items for customers.
  • Build customer-facing product content and processes to support the account team.
  • Build product demonstration and story flow content to support the sales/marketing team.
  • Build customer case studies and create data points to promote the Carrot Health value story.
  • Determine customer needs and desires by conducting market research.
  • Research and recommend new data sources for acquisition into the MarketView platform.
  • Assess new product concepts and help determine priority of new product development.
  • Assess market competitors and identify ways to create a unique value proposition and competitive advantages within the MarketView platform.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors that can improve the value of the MarketView platform.
  • Analyze trends in product utilization and identify product strengths and weaknesses; use this information to inform product owner and development team of areas to focus.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience with payers and/or providers, bringing domain expertise and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development, product development, or consulting.
  • Familiar with Tableau or similar data visualization platforms.
  • Familiar with SQL, R, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Familiar with Jira, Trello, or similar project management tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; experience presenting to customers and leadership preferred.
  • Excellent data storytelling and technical design skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently.
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and manage ambiguous projects and tasks.
